Usmania Helping Hands Society play a crucial role in collaboration with Residential Doctor’s Association JNMCH AMU organizing a free health camp on 10th March near Malik gym, Jamalpur, in addressing healthcare disparities and improving access to medical care for those in need. such events can have on the well-being of individuals who may otherwise have limited access to healthcare services. The inauguration was conducted by AMU’s Proctor, Professor Mohd. Wasim Ali, and AMU’s Executive council member, Dr. Murad Ahamad Khan. More than 150 individuals received free medical treatment and examinations, alongside the distribution of complimentary medications to all attendees.

UHHS conduct a 6-month certificate course at its center for underprivileged girls, focusing on handicraft using waste materials. On February 29th, UHHS organized a workshop cum exhibition on waste material at the Department of Social Work, AMU. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about how we can recycle old household items to make them usable again, thereby saving the environment and providing employment opportunities. The inauguration of this exhibition and workshop was done by IPS Amit Jain. District Probation Officer Smita Singh, DSW Rafiuddin Sir, Dean faculty of social science Professor Mirza Asmer Beg, Chairman Department of social work Professor Naseem Ahmed along with all staff and students of the Department of Social Work, attended the workshop.

To celebrate Children’s Day, UHHS organized an enriching trip to the Musa Dakri Museum and Sir Syed House at AMU. The day was filled with interactive activities and discussions. The Chairman of the Mesology Department prof. Abdur Raheem K, engaged with the children, and research scholars provided insights into the museum. At Sir Syed House, the kids learned about the life of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. Deposit the unused items of your house in the RRR center of the Municipal Corporation. Osmania Helping Hands Society along with its team will provide full support to the Municipal Corporation’s RRR Center in distributing goods in the slums. Municipal Corporation’s RRR Center has been built under Meenakshi Bridge.

On Sunday 5th March, Hunar Mela was organized at Shehnai Marriage Home. Whose Chief Guest District Panchayat President Mrs. Vijay Singh and BJP Leader Shyoraj Singh, ribbon cutting ceremony was done by them. A drawing competition was held for children in which 150 children participated and the winners were awarded with certificates by AMU Proctor Dr Mohammad Waseem, Deputy proctor Dr Hashmat Ali Khan, Assistant Proctor Dr Ali Nawaz Zaidi, Provost SS Hall Dr Farooq Dar, and the drawing competition was judged by Mrs. Arshi Safi from AMU ABK Girls School. The students of our skill development centre were awarded with certificates for their course completion by Deputy Municipal Commissioner Raj kishor Prasad. This program was successful because of the hard work of the entire team of Usmania Helping Hands Society.

On 16th October 2022, Usmania Helping Hands Society celebrated an event on the completion of 5 years of organisation. In the event, the chief guest was Mr. Muhammad Firoz (civil Judge, Aligarh), special guest was Professor Muhammad Shameem (TB chest department, JNMC, Aligarh), special guest were Mr. Deepak Sharma (Udyan care NGO), Professor Hashmat Ali Khan (Deputy Proctor AMU, Aligarh). On the completion on the first batch of our Skill development centre, the students of the batch collected their certificates from our guests. Also, the volenteers also got the certificates for their immense work and devotion toward the noble work. Mr. Zillur Rehman Sahab welcomed all the guest by honouring them the Padma Shree Momento. The Usmania Helping Hands Society is working since 5 years and the aim is to work really hard for the underprivileged people’s for their betterment. Muhammad Faizan (president, UHHS), Adnan Ahmed ( vise president,UHHS), Sadiya Usman ( secretary, UHHS), welcomed and thanked everyone who supported in bringing the society to this moment.

We organised this programme to make the peoples understand one another specially after the harsh time of pandemic. Many problems have around in the life of so many peoples, whether it can be educationally related or financially related, or health related, and all those things really affect the mental health of the childrens and girls. So it is very important for each and everyone of us to know if someone is looking not okay, to discuss with them about something they want to, so will decrease their mental pressure. So atleast we can help them as much as we can. And to make all these things very clear in understanding easily, we invited Dr. Firdaus Jahan, clinical psychologist JNMC Hospital as a Guest speaker for providing some very crucial things regarding mental health to all the girls at our centre. That was an honour for us to have her at our place and thanks for her precious time that she gave us.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a blood donation camp was organized by Usmania Helping Hand Society at Duck Point AMU on 3rd October, in which it was conducted in collaboration with Medical College Blood Bank. Cheif guest was AMU proctor (Waseem Ali), Guest of honour (Dupty Proctor Hashmat Khan) have distributed the certificates to all the blood donors. President, Muhammad Faizan, Vice President Adnan Ahmad, Secretary Sadiya Usman and programme coordinator Afzal Khan and the entire team members have participated well. Society appealed everyone to donate the blood, your donation can save someone’s life.
To celebrate National Nutrition week Usmania helping hands society organized a lecture on Importance of Nutrition for Adolescent girls delivered by Dr. Mariyam Fatima Assistant Professor Department of Home Science AMU .She focused on the importance of eating right ingredients and balanced diet for healthy life and motivated girls to adopt the use of healthy food. She also shared some recepies of healthy food items rich in Iron , calcium etc.
